Happy Birthday to the most amazing woman I know!!

I seriously have the best mom, hands down!

I dont think I blogged about her birthday last year, so i'll start with a few pics from that day.

I had the screaming kid in Walmart..

So I went to try and get a pic of Becca's lump yesterday and its pretty much gone. I should have taken on the first day!

Last night we went to Walmart to do our weekly grocery shopping, and by the time I was in the dairy section Becca was starting to get cranky. She decided to have a fit cause I wouldnt let her bite through the cheese package. I called Norm, who was in the electronics department, and told him he needed to come deal with her, cause i'd had enough. So as he's walking over, he was walking behind 2 probably 18 year old boys. The one boy said to the other " man, someone shut that kid up!" So Norm said he slowly walked up next to them and was like "ya really eh? that must suck having a kid that screams all the time" And the kid was like "ya man" And then Norm said "thats my kid, I wish I knew how to shut her up, sometimes they just like to scream" ha ha He said the boy was all like oh man im so sorry ha ha We walked past them again later and they both avoided eye contact..lol.

I've been awful at taking pics lately...so here's a pic from a few weeks ago. I took Becca to an indoor play place, she loved it! Sorry about the quality, it was taken on my phone.

Sickies.

So cute Becca story...So I was laying down with Becca the other day singing to her before her nap, and she pulled up my shirt and started giving my belly zurberts lol Norm does it to her all the time, so I thought it was funny. Well after about 3 times, she started getting tired and laid her head on my belly. Im guessing the little one inside me didnt think its was so funny, cause she booted her hard in the side of the face! ha ha Becca jumped off me, grabbed her face and said "ow" and then pointed at my belly and yelled "no! no!". It was the funniest thing! I couldnt help but laugh. Then Becca looked at me like, mom what did you do that for? ha ha I still dont think she understands that she has a baby sister in there.

So we've all been sick here this week...again! This cold has totally knocked me out! I can handle being sick when I can take meds for it, but being pregnant and sick, no fun! I've been lucky to have an understanding husband this week though, who's taken care of me, and made meals most nights:) Now he's sick though, poor guy.

Becca had a fever of 102.5 the other night, so I was sure she was getting what I had, but by the next morning it was gone and she was fine. Well Friday night we went to Norms parents place, and it was the first time I had done Beccas hair all week. So once it was in pigtails, we noticed a HUGE lump on the side of her neck! It freaked us both out! We're talking a lump about the size of a ping pong ball! (i'll try to get a pic for my next post) She was acting fine, and not sick, but I knew it wasnt normal. So first thing Saturday morning I took her to the doctor. The doctor took one look at it was like holy that is big! ha ha So turns out her gland is swollen cause she has a really bad throat infection. I feel like an awful mom! I had no idea! There was some food she didnt wanna eat, but I thought she was just being picky. When the doctor looked down her throat it was so swollen you could hardly see the hole. When he stuck the stick in her mouth to hold her tongue down she licked it and said " mmmm banana" ha ha This kid has never had a banana popsicle so I donno where that came from. The doctor was checking her ears, and after checking one said "where's your other ear?" and Becca lifted up her shirt and pointed at her belly button, which somehow had a big sparkly blue sticker on it! (she loves stickers and we find them everywhere) The doctor said "thats not your ear, how did that get there?" and all she said was "donno" She keeps us entertained lol

So...the only other news I have from this week is that my grandma had a heart attack yesterday morning:( It was a total shock, she's only 79, and hasnt had an health concerns before this. She's been in a drug induced coma ever since she got to the hospital, so we just have to wait and see. I guess she went about 15 mins without breathing though before they shocked her heart back, so it doesnt look good. All I can do is pray!

Anyhow...I cant do a post without a picture, so here's a pic of Becca around Christmas..its funny how much a box can entertain a kid:)

Baby update.

3 posts in one day! Its cause I have a bad cold and don't feel like leaving the couch.

So i'll be 25 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I cant believe how fast the time has gone this time around! Im sure it will slow down the closer I get to my due date though lol

 I broke down...I couldn't stand not knowing. So a few days before Christmas I paid to find out what i'm having! I didnt post it on facebook cause I have family who want to be surprised, but im pretty sure they dont read my blog, so it should be safe to post on here.

Its another girl!!

I was gonna be happy either way. Part of me was kinda hoping for a boy, since I knew thats what Norm was hoping for, and since I dont want to have anymore kids.

I think it will be way fun to have 2 girls. I cant wait to dress them in matching dresses and hairbows lol and this way I dont need to buy anymore baby clothes. I have enough girls clothes that i'd be set if I had triplets , not to mention all the girly toys Becca has. 

My sister in law Lindsay's baby did the same thing as mine for her ultrasound, legs crossed. So she paid to find out yesterday, and she's having a girl too! Its way exciting that our girls will be so close in age! 

Im already tired of being pregnant. This time around seems so much worse than last. The morning sickness still comes and goes sometimes and im still super tired no matter how much sleep I get. 

I dont feel nearly as big as last time though. Maybe its cause I had more extra weight on to start with last time, but even the doctor says its a small baby. I eat lots, but cant seem to gain weight this time around. I have my doctors appointment this week, and they said I need to have gained at least 5lbs in the last month, hopefully with all my Christmas eating i'll be ok! lol

Here's a pic from a few days ago, I also dont have as many belly pics this time, its cause im at home all the time, and not done up, whereas last time I worked everyday lol

In other news, my husband got injured at work last Tuesday! Poor guy! He got hit by a machine that holds the tires in place. He said it felt like someone took a sludge hammer to his knee. He was at the hospital for 5 hours, and then finally got an x-ray. Thankfully it wasnt broken, but the doctor said any harder and it would have been. He has to stay off it for a week, and was put off work. Its been nice having him home. Becca is such a daddys girl! She asks every morning "where dada?" and gets sad when he's at work. Im not looking forward to him going back next week, she'll be a mess lol 

Since he's been stuck to the couch he's been able to break in his new tv! He finally got his 50" for Christmas! He's been wanting one for years, and I figured he waited long enough lol Im pretty sure he's put in full work days of playing video games lol

The only other exciting thing around here is that I got a haircut lol You can see it in my prego pic, but here's a bit better one, where's its actually styled.

I wanted something different and easy. My hair takes so long to blowdry, and its dang cold out here! You cant go out with wet hair.

I might as well end with a cute pic of my princess, when I took out the camera to take a pic of my hair, she stopped what she was doing, aka stuffing her face, to smile and say cheese lol

Christmas 2010

I was way excited about Christmas this year! I feel like its the first year Becca really "got" it, and it was so much fun!

I was a bit upset about not going home for it, but everything worked out really nice here!

Christmas Eve we went to Norm's parents place for the traditional fondue. It was just his siblings without kids there, so it was more laid back, and quiet. 

After dinner we just hung out, played a few games, and read the Christmas story. It was really nice!

I feel bad that I didnt take any pics on Christmas morning. We did a video instead. This was Norms first year filling my stocking, my moms always done it when we've been home. He did a really good job! He went with a pink theme and everything I got was pink, so cute!

Christmas morning I got up at 7 to make homemade cinnamon buns for breakfast. I let Norm and Becca sleep in till about 830, and then had to wake them up. It was the quickest opening of presents lol We had to be at Norms parents for 930 breakfast, so with stockings and presents, it was a rush. But it was still good. Becca loved opening all her presents. For the month before I kept telling her not to touch the presents, so when I told her she could open them, it took her a while lol

We all got a lot of great things!

So we went to Norms parents place for Christmas breakfast and had the traditional Christmas Sloup. Its way yummy! Then we opened presents there, and relaxed.

Lindsay is due 5 days before me! Its way fun having a SIL pregnant at the same time as me. I guess I had one pregnant at the same time last time too, but this time its one I like! (I can say that cause the one from last time is my ex sister in law now lol) 

In the afternoon everyone went sledding. Since Norm works at a tire shop he was able to get a huge inner tube, it fit 5 guys on it at a time and I guess they had lots of fun! Becca and I napped instead lol

This year for Christmas dinner we had it at the Church here. It was just easier since the family is so big now. With 10 grandchildren under 9, and mostly under 6, it can get pretty loud when we all get together. This way we got to eat, and the kids got to run around and play in the gym, it was perfect lol

This hymn book kept Becca busy for a long time! She just loves flipping from page to page:)

So that was our Christmas. All in all it was pretty great! It was even a white one here, which it wouldnt have been in NS lol
