All about Becca...

So Saturday, I had a primary activity, and left my little one with Daddy all morning. This was the first time i'd left her with him for more than an hour or so. She woke up in a great mood, and Norm and I were both happy, thinking she'll be fine! Well a few hours later I get a call that she wont go down for her nap, and she's driving him crazy, so I told him to give her some formula, and try again. When I got home a few hours later, she was still wide awake, and screaming..lol. So I breastfed her and put her down for a nap. (she went down fine for me..lol..poor Norm) While she was napping, I had a waxing client, things were going great. Then she woke up barfing, and im not talking spit up, this is gut wrenching, projectile barfing. It was EVERYWHERE, so Norm gave her a bath, got her all cleaned up, just for her to barf again. In the period of an hour, while im with a client and have no knowledge of it, she barfs 9 times. Norm then decides to interrupt, and tell me, in the middle of a bikini wax that Becca needs to go to the hospital. When I came into our room, there was Becca, pale as a ghost, laying on the bed, with her eyes half open! It was so sad!! When I tried to move her she was all floppy, and started dry heaving. So off to the hospital we went.lol. The doctor said it was either food poisoning or a reaction to the formula. She was okay by that night, but it was scary! lol. I think she was just upset about mommy leaving her..lol
And since this entry is all about Becca, she's just recently started shaking her head "no" ( even though im pretty sure she doesnt know thats what it means..lol) so the other night, she was laying between me and Norm. To get her to sleep I go through all the people who love her, I find the repetition put her to sleep. So I was doing the usual, Mommy loves you, daddy loves you etc. And I asked her, do you love daddy? And she said "mmmhhmm" So I said, do you love mommy?? and she shook her head no! lol..and then rolled over and snuggled up to Norms arm...the little punk! She's cute though, so I still love her!
Sorry that there's no pics! Next time!

The Zoo.

First of all I want to thank you all for the great sleeping advice!! Since I dont have any good friends here in Vulcan, its so easy to feel all alone, and without a support system. But with blogging, it makes me feel like I still have friends out there that I can turn to for advice and stuff, so thanks guys!! for helping me feel less alone.
So I realized that i've been a little slack on the blogging...things will happen and i'll think I should write about that, and then I forget, or dont have the time..lol. So i'll try to do a recap here.
A few weeks ago we went to the Calgary Zoo. It was Rebecca's first time. She loved it! There was so much for her to see.

Rebecca with her Uncle Aaron
We had a house showing on Saturday. Our agent called us late Friday night, saying that another agent wanted to show it at 10am the next morning. So there went my plans of a relaxing evening..lol. I spent hours cleaning!! I told Norm that if he kept Becca busy, and then swept and mopped when she went to sleep that i'd do it all. Once he put Becca down for the night, he swept and mopped. We finished cleaning around 11:30 and then my loving husband went out to get us a treat from the gas station. Mr. "I hate spending money" thought we deserved it..lol. Anyhow, we havent heard anything back from the agent, so im guessing the people arent interested. But at least my house is clean!:)
Saturday night Rebecca and I curled up and watched Twilight. Norm just watched the beginning to see Forks, since he served there on his mission. He had too much homework to get done to watch the whole thing. Rebecca usually will start to fuss half way through a movie, but surprisingly she watched the whole thing.
So lately i've been trying to switch Becca over to formula. I'll give it to her once a day or so, or more if we're going out. So Sunday, I brought some to church, so that I could give her to Norm, and not have to worry while I did my calling. In our ward we have sacrament last, so she had just finished her bottle when I met up with them in the chapel. It was an exciting meeting for our ward cause they were calling a new bishopric. So halfway through the meeting, I was snuggling with Becca, she had her head on my shoulder. And then she suddenly jerked up, and barfed all in my hair, and right down my shirt!!! I had baby barf all the way down to my belly button. My loving husband just laughed at me, and said umm you might wanna go to the bathroom and clean that up..lol. I guess that was Becca's way of telling me she doesnt like formula..lol. And the worst part was that I stunk of formula! ahh..lol.
Here's my pretty, after church. She totally missed herself with the barf! lol This dress was mine when I was little. My great aunt made it for me. So I had to take some pics to send to her:)

Anyhow, speaking of Becca (which is pretty much all I write about anymore..lol) my poor baby is sick again! argh!!! She has RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) Its sooooo sad!!! Its so much worse at night! Im gonna try to get her in with her own dr today, I didnt like the on call one yesterday. She's waking up...so i'll try to update more later!!

Help!

So when I was pregnant with Rebecca, I was determined that when I brought her home, she would be sleeping in her own room, in her own crib. Well...the day she came home, I made Norm set up the bassinet in our room. I just couldnt stand to have my little newborn that far away from me!

Well now, she's not so little anymore..lol. She's a 7month old big girl, and im ok with her sleeping in her own room. But, she's not! lol

When Becca got sick almost a month ago now, she was having a lot of trouble breathing. I would wake up, and she wouldnt be breathing. It was the scariest thing ever! I'd had to sit her up, and she make that horrible gasping sound, and finally get her breath. So at that time, I decided to bring her into bed with me, so that I could monitor her closely. Well big mistake! Now the little monkey thinks my bed is hers! Its brutal! She is such a bed hog too!! She will lay between us, and stretch out, and hit us, till we give her space.

Now, she's fine taking naps in her crib. Its bedtime thats the issue. I've tried the crying it out method, and it doesnt work. She just gets herself so worked up that she breaks blood vessels in her face, and it takes forever to get her calmed down, that it isnt worth it.

So if anyhow has any advice on how to get my bed back, before my husband decides to move into Becca's room instead, it would be greatly appreciated!

7 months old, and spa pictures!

I cant believe my little girl is 7 months old already!! I donno where the time has gone!! Its crazy. She has such a little personality now. And her motor skills have improved so much this past month, it blows me away. She's also started "talking" a lot more too. She says "hi dada", "nana", "awww ma" and her latest is "hanaaa", and she's started growling at things and people..lol
Here are some pics we took of her on her 7 month birthday.

"I said no more pics!"
I also took some pics of my spa room to show you all. There's still a few fine touches I need to add, but for the most part its done. Im just working on getting the health inspector to come approve me for my business licence. So here's some pics..

These are my pens I made, for clients to use to fill out forms.

I hope you're all having a great day!! Its 12C here today, and sunny! Im loving it! Gives me hope that spring is on its way!!
