10 years ago...I was almost 12..lol. I was in gr 6, had my first "boyfriend" haha..was doing the musical "Charlottes Web"...thats all I can remember..haha

hmmm...
1.Finish my Thank You cards.
2. Get the rest of the baby stuff I need.
3.Get Rocky neutered

What snacks dont I enjoy? haha..Umm anything chocolate. Lately i've been loving ice cream, and strawberry oreos. Oh and lime nachos!

4. What would I do if I were instantly a billionaire?
Wouldnt that be nice!! haha. I would pay off my student loans, our mortgage, buy a house on the water in NS, and one somewhere warm. I would buy my parents a new house. If I still had enough I would buy a private jet to fly wherever I wanted! I would save tons for my kids. Probably go back to school at some point. I donno..there's just so many possibilities.

5. What are 3 bad habits I have?
1. Hitting my husband in the face while im sleeping.
2.Chewing my nails when im bored, or scared.
3. I forget to call people when I say I will, or forget to return messages.

The Easter Bunny..

So first off, I have to say that after 21 years of believing in the Easter Bunny, its offical. He's not real! Cause if he was real, he would have found me in Vulcan..and he didnt..haha. When I confronted my Husband about this, he told me that the Easter Bunny is just waiting for the chocolate to on sale, and that then i'd get 2 easter bunnies..lol. My mom said that he still found me back in NS though, and my goodies are in the mail. So i'll just keep waiting for those:) If there was ever a time I needed chocolate, its now! haha. This baby LOVES it! haha

I cant diss my husband though, he's been pretty amazing lately:) He's surprised me a few times now by just randomly bringing me home chocolate. He's been more romantic lately as well. I think he's starting to realize that, "hey, in like 4 months it wont be just me and my wife". Mr."I dont like to spend money" has booked a weekend away in Banff in April. We're going with his brother and his wife. Its gonna be fun! I like going to the mountains, just all the trees remind me of NS. And its nice to get away and relax.

Speaking of Norm though, you'll never guess what he did..aha. He's been bugging me for months to let him shave his head again. And well..I like his hair..haha. But the other day, i'd had enough, and finally broke down and said fine do it now. His arguement was that if he does it now it'll be back in time for the baby, so thats fair enough. So while he was shaving it, he decided that it would be cool to shave a mohawk. Thankfully it only lasted a day..haha. but here's some pics.

So my little puppy is getting HUGE! I took him to the vet yesterday for his last shots, and he weighs 29.8lbs! He's not even 4 months old yet! haha. He's so cute though..haha. He's had a bad habit lately of taking socks into his kennel, and trying to chew them. Its so hard to be stern with him about it, cause its so cute what he does. We'll look at him, and say, "what are you doing?" and he covers the sock with both his paws, and puts his head down, looking up at us like "nothing"..lol. He made me sooooo mad today though! Usually when I get a shower, I make sure I put my bra on the bed, so he doesnt get it. But not thinking today, I left it on the bathroom floor. When I got outta the shower he had chewed right through the strap!! Being pregnant, I hardly have any bras that fit me anymore, and now its even less! haha

Its been a pretty boring week. I love having time off, but it sucks not having any friends out here. I pretty much just sit around waiting for Norm to get home from work..haha. I've been starting to work on my wedding thank you cards though, way overdue! haha.

So when I was in school the other week, I had a kid in gr. 4 come up and ask me what a condom is! haha I was shocked and didnt know what to say..haha. So I told him that it was something he should ask his parents. And then this other kid there, was all like, Mrs. Nelson, do you not know what it is?! haha I almost felt like saying, just cause im pregnant, doesnt mean I dont know what it is..but I didnt..haha. I just couldnt believe that kids in gr.4 were already talking about stuff like that. I think I was in at least gr 7. Turns out that it all started from this one kid telling some others that her sister, who wasnt much older had bought some to use with her boyfriend. It kinda scares me having kids now a days..lol.

Well..I should get back to my cards..

How my husband almost died...

Its been a while, so I figured its about time for an update!
So almost a week ago now, I was almost made a widow! So being the wife of a fire fighter, you think i'd realize that everytime my husband goes to a fire, something could happen. But until this last week, I didnt really give it much thought. So, last Tuesday at around 1 in the afternoon Norm got called out to a field fire. They're fairly common around here, and I didnt think anything of it. It was the worst Norm has ever seen though, he didnt get home till 7 and it was then that he told me what happened.
When they showed up at the fire, they parked their truck away from the fire. Norm was out on top of the truck, getting the hose all set up, when the guy inside the truck started banging on the window and pointing at the hose. Norm was confused at what he was freakin about, till he looked beside the truck. Within the few mins they'd been there, the fire had spread to the truck. The whole truck was surrounded by fire! He said that the flames were higher than the truck, which would be about 11 to 12 feet high! He tried hosing it down, and getting it away from the truck, but it wasnt working. So he started hosing himself down, to keep the fire away from him. He said the whole time he was kicking the truck's window, and didnt understand why the truck wasn't moving. He said that he got to the point where he started to think, I donno if im gonna make it through this. He was so hot, and could feel his face starting to burn. At last, he couldnt take it anymore, and yelled a prayer. As soon as he'd prayed, the truck moved, just far enough to get out of the fire. Fire trucks are made to be beside the fire, not right in it. So because the truck was right in the fire, the air brakes under the truck, melted together. And thats why the truck wouldnt move. Logically, the other fire fighters couldnt explain why the truck finally moved. After it had moved far enough to get out of the fire, it wouldnt move again. Norm honestly believes that if he hadnt prayed that he wouldnt be here today. I am sooooo grateful to my Heavenly Father for saving my husbands life! I donno what I would do without him!! All in all the fire burnt 1000 acres of farm land!! And with 100km/h winds that day, they're lucky that it didnt burn more!

So..what else is new...oh, when I got back from NS, I became unemployed! haha. My job at the school was filling in for a lady who was on stress leave, and she came back earlier than expected. So I was somewhat freaking out, cause without a job, I couldnt get maternity leave. So I was filling in, subing for other learning assistants. So I was working about part time. Actually last Monday..I was in Gr.10! haha. It was so funny cause I had teachers ask me if I was a new student. Yea..im a knocked up 16 year old..thats me..haha. But the most scary party, I get there, and only 1/3 of the class had showed up. So the teacher, who also teaches special ed, left me to teach the class!!! I was so freaking out! I had to teach social studies and math. I had to quickly read the plans, and wing it. It was scary, but in the end worked out..haha.
Anyhow, last Monday I got called in for an interview for a full time, permanent position at the same school I was working at before, and I got the job!!! I cant express how excited I was!!! So im back to working 5 days a week. Im in Gr 3 this time, and so far its going good:) We have a short week this week, and then its March break next week. I donno what im gonna do with all my free time. I already spent all my free days last week organizing my baby room, and cleaning everything possible..lol
So...everything else is going great! Baby is growing like crazy!!! Im stretching like crazy! This little one has been moving a lot too!! As I speak he or she is kicking me really hard! Its the weirdest feeling!! haha. Especially when they deside to jump on my bladder like a trampoline!! haha. I cant deal with having to pee ALL the time though, its driving my crazy!! haha. It was so bad that I went to the doctor, just to make sure I didnt have a UTI. They tested me, and I dont have one, but he gave me anti-biotics anyhow...how that works, I donno..lol. I didnt take them. It just seems messed up to me..like..well there's nothing wrong, but here's some drugs anyhow. If anyone has any advice on how to deal with this, let me know!!:) It would be greatly appreciated:)
Im gonna go take a nap with my puppy before my sexy husband gets home.
