Bowling Fun!

Yesterday Becca and I were up at 5am! (although my alarm was set for 6!!) and got ready to take Daddy to school! Its become our Friday tradition. Since Norm only has school till 11:20 on Fridays, we take him to school, and go do our shopping. We have a grocery store in town here, but everything is like double the price, so its cheaper, and more fun to shop in Lethbridge. We've started adding the dollar store to our list of stores we visit regularly, and we are loving it..haha. We've found lots of cute craft stuff there lately. I bought a bunch of flowers and stuff yesterday to make Becca some new headbands and clips. Here's how they turned out:)

Last night we got to go out on a group date + Rebecca..lol. We went out with Lindsay (Norms sister) and her husband Kyle, and Norms friend Niels, and his girlfriend Julie. They're so much fun to hang out with! We went to this cute place called the Red Dog Diner. The food was way good, and best of all way cheap! lol Then we went bowling. I hadn't bowled in forever! I think I had the second lowest score, but it was still way fun! Here's some bowling pics, to make up for my lack of pics last entry.

Tires..

Just a heads up, im at Norms brothers place, so no pics in this post!

So we're almost better now..thankfully! This was the worst cold!! All 3 of us have had it, and its been no fun! But we're in Calgary now for the rest of the week, so hopefully we'll be able to finally have some spring break fun!

Almost 2 weeks ago now I took my car in for an oil change, and the guy told me that I really needed new tires. I had no idea! But they were so bad that the wire was showing through! He said he was amazed that they hadnt blown. So I went to Walmart, and they didnt have any to fit my car! So I got the guy to order them in. He said he would call me as soon as they came in, and that it would take about 2 buisness days. So 4 days later, Norm went in, and they still didnt have them. So on Monday, he called to see if they came in yet, and the guy was like oh yea they're here, come on in. Norm told the guy that he was leaving, and would be there in an hour.

So an hour later, I get an angry call from my husband, telling me that within the hour, they sold our tires! He was soooo not impressed! He was sick, and had just driven an hour on tires that could blow any min. So he told them they better fix it fast! and that he wasnt paying full price. So they found some more, and only charged us 160 instead of 300. It pays off to have an assertive husband..lol.

Anyhow, thats my rant for the day..lol. Norms promised me some hot dates this week! So i'll be sure to let you all know how that goes!

Sickness at the Nelsons

Becca and I love Daddy being in school, he gets to spend more time with us, isnt all stressed out cause he hates his job, gets his weekends off...but what we dont love it, the sickness!! Since he's been in school, he's had 3 colds! And lucky us, he brings then home!

Poor Becca is the sickest she's been. Its so sad! I took her to the doctor yesterday, and my normally happy, smiley baby, just gave the nurse a sad, help me face. And when she asked us what was wrong, Becca started gurgling, trying to tell her, it was so cute, and sad at the same time. With Becca being sick, i've realized that I dont enjoy mucus!lol. It so grosses me out!! I know that being a mom, i'll have to get used to it, but it seriously makes me gag! lol Especially when im breastfeed, and she sneezes! yuck!

Anyhow, we're not up to much here, just staying in bed getting better.

Star Trek Baby..lol

So, after living in Vulcan for over a year, we finally gave in, and went to visit the Star Trek Museum haha

So last Friday night, Norm and I got to go on a date!! yay!! lol

It was our first date since Becca was born. Norms friend Brandon babysat Becca. She loves Brandon!! and he's so great with her!! We went out with Norms friend Neils, and his girlfriend. It was so much fun! We went to dinner, and to a hockey game. I'd like to try to go out at least once a month.

Saturday morning, our phone rang at 9am, so since it was our 1 day to sleep in, I decided to let it ring! So I was laying in bed, and had this overwhelming feeling to get outta bed and check the phone, and I was like nah, im not moving! lol. And then I had it again, even stronger, so I was like fine! haha So I checked it, and it was my real estate agent! So I called her back, and she let me know that she had someone who wanted to look at my house at 3pm! We had kinda let the house go a bit, since we hadnt had any showings, so I was like ahhhhh!! lol Norm and I spent 5 hours, cleaning the house from top to bottom! And im so glad we did! She called us back Sunday, and said that the guy really liked our house, and wants to come back this weekend to look at it again! So we're praying hardcore that he buys it!! fingers crossed!!

Becca turned 6 months old on Sunday! I cant believe how fast the time has gone!! I've recently tried her on rice cereal, so far she's not loving it, but we're working at it..lol She's so much more vocal, she does a little singing thing..its so cute!

So i've finally reached my goal weight...now that Norm is too broke to buy me a new wardrobe..haha. I've bought few pairs of new pants, and have a problem! haha I cant find pants to fit me right!! A few that i've bought fit me when I first take them outta the dryer, but then a few hours later, they're falling off. Im getting so tired of trying to find good fitting pants, that im debating gaining the weight back..lol. Im looking for regular boot cut pants, not too low cut, and not "mom jeans" lol. So if anyone has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated!!
