Goodbye Rocky:(

Today is a sad day for me. I have to say goodbye to my puppy. I know its the right thing to do, so why does it have to be so hard!?! He's been so good this last week too. Last night we were watching tv, and I sat down on the floor beside him, and he curled up on my lap, like a lap dog..lol. It was cute, till my legs started to fall asleep. He's just a big baby, and I hope he gets all the love and attention he needs! My visiting teachers came over today, and after they left, I let Rocky out to play, assuming that they shut the gate after them, since they know I have a dog, but well they didnt. haha 20 mins later I went to the back door to call him, and he didnt come, so I kept calling him, getting louder and louder. When finally I see him come running across our neighbours yard, and jump over the fence! He's never jumped it before, so it was crazy to see.lol. At least he got to have a little adventure, before he leaves.

Our house is listed on MLS now! I just keep praying that someone will buy it, or at least look at it! Its listing # C3357213 if you wanna check it out:)

I booked my ticket a few days ago, so its official that im coming home for Christmas! Im not gonna say when...just in case someone in my family reads this. But im super excited!! I cant wait to surprise everyone!! I booked a ticket for Norm too, so hopefully we'll be able to afford it, and he wont have to cancel it. I really want him to be there for his daughters first Christmas, and experience it with my family!

Anyhow, I g2g tidy up the house. We're going to Calgary for the weekend, so I need to leave it clean in case there's any showings.

Poor headband...

I just wanted to post this pic, of Rebecca in her coordinating headband and dress, since its the last time she was able to wear the headband. Stupid Rocky! lol. I think he's having some jealousy issues with her. He's so nice to her, and protects her and whatnot, but lately i've caught him trying to chew up her stuff! I cant let him in the baby room anymore. I caught him one day with this headband in his mouth, and saved it. But I was too late the other night. Its destroyed! I had it in her diaper bag, and he went right in and bug it out, crazy dog! It looks like we might only have him for another week. I donno if im ready to give him up though, its hard:(

So we had the realtor come over yesterday and did all the paper work with her. Our house will be on MLS on Monday. Im just hoping that with it being on there, someone will see it, and buy it!! I spent all week getting my house spotless..lol. and now that it's clean, I donno what to do with myself. Norms working today, from 6am till late tonight. Its so boring living here with no friends! lol. I've been doing a lot of baking though. I've done so much, that Norms started complaining about it..aha. Right now we have tomato cake, chocolate brownie cookies, and oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies..lol

In my last post about home, I forgot to mention that while back there, I got hooked on the Twilight series! lol I was determined not to...but Hannah has all the books, and was like just try the first one, you'll love it. And I was like, yea ok..and well that was that. Im almost done the 3rd book now, and im super excited to see the movie!!

Speaking of reading, I think im gonna go read for the afternoon, but just one last thing!

So I might be going home for Christmas, to surprise my family, (dont worry they dont read this)

and its come to my attention that its going around, through the Nelson grapevine, that the reason im going back so soon is that Norm and I are having marriage problems, and im going back for some space to think about things. So just for the record..I would be going back cause ITS CHRISTMAS, and I wanna spend Christmas with my family. And on top of that, if I go back, Norms coming with me! haha. soo ummm yea..hope that clears things up!

Our trip to Nova Scotia, and everything since.

Ok wow, i've been an awful blogger. I have so much to write about, that it overwhelms me, and I just keep putting it off, but i've finally uploaded all my pics to my computer, so I figure its about time to write about everything. Be prepared for a long post:)

So almost a month ago now, Rebecca and I packed up and headed east for 2 weeks! It was awesome!! We were sad to leave Daddy here, and he missed his little girl alot ( and hopefully me too) but it was worth it. It was so nice to see all our family and friends!!

We got in at 7am on Thanksgiving Monday, but it felt like 4am for Rebecca and I. So we had a nice time sleeping all day, and then had dinner with the family, which was nice!!:)

It was just really relaxing to be home. I had lots of help with Rebecca. Every time I had to change her Tara was right there to help out! One time, I left her to go get more diapers, and returned to a messy scene of Tara with Becca's diaper off, and her feet in it! haha.
It was neat to see the kids with her, she was so stimulated by them, all the time. And they just love being aunts and uncles! I dont know if it was all the stimlation, or just the sea air..lol, but while we were there, Rebecca was sleeping 7 hours straight a night! it was awesome!!

I couldnt believe how fast the 2 weeks went, I didnt get to see everyone I wanted to see, or get everything done that I wanted to get done.

I got together with my high school friends the first week I was back. It was so awesome to see everyone! We got together late in the evening, and time went by so fast, that before we knew it, it was almost 2am. So we decided to stay over, so Rebecca had her first slumber party! lol

It was so neat that Reta and her baby Shelley were in NS the same time as us. We only got to hang out one day, which is sad, but it was still so good to see them! We had a mini photo shoot of the girls, you can tell already that they're gonna be friends..lol.

My 2nd Monday back, Karen was nice enough to let Rebecca, Hannah and I come over for One Tree Hill night!! It was so much fun!! It makes me sad to watch it all by myself out here:( or well, with just Norm, its not the same..lol

I was also lucky to be back for Calebs birthday!! He turned 9! That makes me feel old.

I got to visit my friend Doris when I was back. She was so happy to meet Rebecca, it was cute! She's a lady who lives in the apartment building that I used to live in. And she is awesome! Anyone who still lives in Halifax should seriously get to know her! She'll be 88 next month, but you would never know it! I was asked by a lady in the ward to help her out a few times a week, but cleaning her cat's litter box, and well I wasnt to happy to do it, but agreed. But once I got to meet her, and started going to visit, it was great! I would go down there 3 times a week, and stay for at least an hour talking. She had so many neat stories, and it was just nice to get away from the world and chat. I was sad to leave her when I moved out here, but its so nice to get to visit whenever I go back!

I got up the valley one day, to visit my family up there. The twins were cute, they refuse to be called "aunts". They said that they're too young to be aunts..lol

I also got to be back for Lydia and Graeme's wedding! She looked so beautiful! And it was so nice to catch up with old friends!

My last Saturday back, we went to a "sing for your supper" potluck dinner at moms friends place, it was a lot of fun! I thought I could get away without preforming anything..but my family wouldnt let me, so I ended up playing piano and singing a song I wrote. It made me kinda miss preforming..and writing. I donno, I guess I just dont feel inspired out here..lol. Rebecca is pretty much the only one to hear me sing anymore.

The day I flew out, we had another party for Caleb with the extended family, here's a pic of my family from it!

So since i've been back in Alberta...

Well, Halloween.

Norm and I carved our first pumpkin together! I donno why we didnt carve one last year..but here it is!

Rebecca was a little princess, she was so cute! I wanted to take her out trick or treating, but felt bad, since I knew the people would know the candy was for me..lol. So instead I took her to the old folks homes around here, and showed her off to all the old people. They loved it!

Rebecca was 3 months old on the 1st. I cant believe now fast time is going! She's started laughing, and smiling all the time now, its so cute!! But every time I try to get a video of her laugh, she freezes and just stares at the camera..I think she's camera shy! lol

On the first, Norm surprised me with a candlelit dinner that he made all by himself, it was so yummy! He said it was for our 14 month anniversary, he's so cute:)

Speaking of Norm, he got fully accepted into school for January. So everything is a go! Our house still hasnt sold yet, so we're going through a realtor, instead of selling it ourselves. Im just praying it sells! I dont wanna have a mortgage with him in school!

Since we're gonna be renting in Lethbridge, we might be getting rid of Rocky. Its so hard to find a place to rent that will accept pets, pretty much impossible. Norms friend's girlfriend wants him. She lives with her family on a farm. I know Rocky would love it, with so much space to run around, and lots of people, but its still hard. Im gonna miss him!!!

Anyhow, I think thats probably a long enough post! lol. Rebecca and I have been sick for almost a week now with the worst cold, and ear infection (luckily just the ear infection for me, not her) so I should get to bed. I wont wait a month again before my last post!

Utah trip and new life plans.

So we went to Utah last week! It was so fun! It took us forever to find someone to watch our dog. I tried to put him in a kennel, but he didnt have the shot he needed, so we needed to find someone to come to our house. It really bugged me how many people we asked, and no one was willing to help us out. Made me miss my family and friends in NS, cause I know they would have helped! Anyhow, we finally got one of Norms YM to agree, and he was even allergic to Rocky! haha

So Thursday morning we left for Utah at 7am. We were going to split up the 12 hour drive into 2 days, but because of the dog issue we had to do it all in one day. Rebecca was pretty good with the traveling. She slept most of the way which was nice. It just made for a longer trip having to stop and feed and change her. Rebecca's started to smile and laugh now, its sooo cute! We arrived in Utah late Thursday evening, and she was soooo happy to be out of her car seat. We laid her on the bed, and she just laughed and smiled for hours! haha

Friday...Norm took me shopping!! I love my husband! Since having Rebecca, I dont really like any of my pre-pregnancy clothes anymore. I feel like I need a new style, a mom style or something..aha. Im back at my pre-pregnancy weight, but still want to lose a bit more. So Norms said if I get to my goal weight, that he'll buy me a new wardrobe! I cant wait...I think he thinks im not gonna do it, but you just wait! Anyhow, they had some really good sales down there! I got a few cute things:)
Then Friday evening we went to Sharee's (Sister Martin's) son's birthday party! It was way good to see her again! Her little boy is so cute!!! Her mom made Rebecca some headbands!! They're so cute!!

After that, we went to Norms mission reunion! We were running late, and were driving down the street that the church was on...and we saw a church, so not thinking about it, we stopped and went in. Well Norm served his mission in Tacoma Washington, and the one that we showed up for was Michigan haha. We forgot that we were in Utah, and there are lots of churches on one street! haha. We found it, and it was awesome! His mission president, Kevin Pearson, is now a General Authority, he's in the first quorum of the seventy, so it was really neat! He had a question and answer period where you could ask him anything you wanted to know about being a General Authority. He told me that I made a good choice in marrying Norm..lol.

Saturday, we just took it easy for the most part. We watched conference on TV. You should have seen how excited Norm was about then announcing that Calgary is getting a temple!! Saturday night, we stayed at Norms cousins place, since they live in Salt Lake. Cause Sunday morning we went to conference!!!!! It was soooo exciting!! We had amazing tickets! I just tried to find a map of the conference center to show you where we sat, but I couldn't find one:( We were in plaza one, in case anyone knows where that is. They had the first 6 rows reserved for missionaries, so we were in row 7. 7 rows back from the prophet! It was amazing! Before the choir starts singing, everyone in there is talking and stuff, then the lights come up, and everyone stands, and the Prophet comes out. It is AMAZING how quiet it was in there!! You could seriously hear his shoes on the carpet! It was just a great experience to be able to go!! The spirit there was sooo strong. Sunday night,we just hung out with family. Norm played football with his cousins for hours! ha ha

Monday, we headed home. It didnt seem as long on the way home, but maybe that was cause I slept alot! haha Rocky was so excited to see us!! He somehow managed to get his collar off, and eat it! crazy dog!

So now for our new life plans..haha. I swear it changes every month!

We had 2 people say they wanted to come look at it yesterday, so I spent, forever cleaning, and then they didnt show! argh!! But yea, we're selling, cause Norms been conditionally accepted to school! We're gonna move to Lethbridge, where he's gonna go to school for Criminal Justice-Policing. He's been conditionally accepted to start in January. So we're just praying that our house will sell!! Its always been Norms dream to work for the church as a security guard to the general authorities. So he wanted to get the policing experience. But he talked to one, when we were in Utah, and his dream might not be as far off as we thought. He said the most important thing you need is your degree, and then just a few years experience. Here we were thinking that he'd need like 20 years on the police force, but he could reach his dream in like 6 years! so thats exciting:)

4 days till Rebecca and I are in Nova Scotia!! We are so excited to see every one!! Rebecca has a cold, so im not sure how she's gonna deal with flying. I just hope she gets better by then!! Well, she's starting to fuss, so I should go change her!! See you all soon!!:)
