My trip to Nova Scotia!

Well..since im on a flight back to Calgary right now..without the mini tv's! I figured i'd take this time to type up an entry about my trip back to Nova Scotia!! Let me just say that 10 days went WAY too fast!!! It seemed shorter than when I was there for my honeymoon, and that was only for a week! I wanna move back there soooo bad!!!

So I guess to start off, on the 14th before I left, we went for our ultrasound, hoping to find out what we're having! Well let me tell you, we have one stubborn baby! haha. Every single time the lady got a between the legs shot,the little guy or girl but their foot in the way!! Argh!! haha. But the little guy or girl was also being stubborn in letting the lady get an accurate mesurement of the spine, so she's getting me to come back sometime this week. So i'll update when I find out! I also got some pics of our little person, but I lost them at my moms. I know they're there somewhere.. I'll scan then once I get her to mail them.

So that night I left at 11:20pm, on the overnight flight. It was brutal!! It was a packed flight. I had this guy sitting next to me who had never been to NS before, and he kept telling me how excited he was, which I mean is understandable.haha. But it seemed like all he was excited for was the bars..haha He kept telling me that he couldnt wait to go to bubbles mansion.haha. Then I fell asleep and woke up with him leaning on me. gross! haha

I was sooo tired my first day in NS. I got in at 7am NS time, but it felt like 4am for me! So my first day there was spent sleeping:) And I had donair pizza! haha They dont have it out west. They have what they call Donairs, but they are so not the same! The sauce is different...they're gross..haha.

I took it pretty easy the rest of the weekend. Went to church Sunday, it was nice to see everyone:)

Monday, it rained. So I pretty much just slept all day..haha.

Tuesday, I went to my brother and sister's elementary school. I gave a presentation to the gr 4 class on Alberta, and Vulcan. They're gonna be pen pals with my class out west, that was neat. Then I visited Tara's class, which was fun. The little primaries are so cute!! Then later that day I went out to dinner with Sara! I've missed her sooooooooooo much!!! It was soooo great! We went to Jack Astors...sooo good! I hadnt been there since I was back in September. We have one in Calgary, but its way outta the way.

Wednesday, Mom and I went to the valley for the day. We went frenchy's shopping, and got tons of baby stuff. I think its crazy how much they charge for sleepers and onsies in the stores, I got a huge bag full for only $10! Then we went out to lunch with my birth dad and his wife. And then after school picked up the twins. They're getting soooo big!

Thursday I spent the day in the city visiting family and friends. Then took Tara to her music class that night. She's in a program for 3 to 5 year olds called music for young children. Its so awesome! It amazed me to see these little 3 year olds knowing all this information. They're working on making their own music compositions right now, its so cute!!

Friday, the kids had skating with school. So I went to tie skates. It was a lot of fun, except for sitting in a cold rink for 2 hours..haha. I could never be a hockey mom. Then that night, Laura and I went to Institute. I was nice to see everyone from church. After that we went out to the shoe shop for Nachos with our group of girls from high school. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up! Although while we were in there having a good time, we didnt realize how much it was snowing outside! haha. I think we left the city around 12:30, and well had to drive like 60km/h all the way home, so I didnt get home till 2..haha.

Saturday, so slept pretty much all day, yet again.haha.

Then yesterday, I went to church. And then had a baby shower thrown for me by my aunt on my dads side. It was fun. I got some cute gifts:) It was so cute my little cousin was telling everyone that she was going to a "cleaning party" haha. And someone asked her if she had fun at the shower, and she was like oh we didnt have it yet..haha. It was so cute.

Then I went to visit my grandfather one more time before I came home. I was telling him that i'd like to bring the baby back in August or September, but that I donno if we'll be able to afford it, and he was like oh well i'll help you out! So thats awesome:) He's so cute..haha I was in there earlier in the week too, and he took me on a tour of where he's staying. ( He's in the veterans building now..in case I havent mentioned that before.) he walked past a nurse, and tapped her in the butt with his cane..haha. She laughed about it, and asked him who I was, and he was telling her that that Im his granddaughter visiting from Alberta. And some little old lady in a wheelchair was sitting there was like "likely story! Thats just what he wants you tell people isnt it dear? I know whats going on here!" hahaha it was so funny. I dont think she was all there.

Anyhow, then last night, we didnt get home till way late, and I still had to pack up all my stuff. I was up till about 1am, and had to get up at 5:30. So im exhusted..haha I cant wait to get home and sleep:) oh,and see my husband and puppy.haha.

I miss my family so much already!! Tara is so excited about the baby! She kept feeling my stomach and saying, "I cant feel it!" haha. We were driving, and mom slammed on the brakes.And Tara from the back seat yelled, "mom! the baby doesnt like that!" haha. The hardest part about coming back here, is leaving the kids:( Its soooo hard to say goodbye to them!!

Anyhow..the plane is gonna land in about 30 mins, so im gonna end this. Im going to the doctor this afternoon, so i'll update tomorrow:)

Puppy update..

My puppy is sooooo cute!!! haha He's turned 2 months old today!! He's grown so much since we got him!! He's almost doubled in size!! He's so smart! He's learning stuff so fast. Norm taught him how to "sit" and "come", it took him no time at all. He was a naughty puppy yesterday though. We went to church, and left him in his kennel in the kitchen while we were gone. So while we were gone, Rocky had an accident on his bed. And well, rather then just leave it there and go to the other side of his kennel, he decided that he needed to get it out of his kennel!! So yep, I came home to poo flung all over my kitchen!! It was soooooo gross!! Ever since i've been pregnant, I have a weaker stomach, and cant handle stuff like that!! haha. He was covered in it too, so Norm gave him his first bath, and I attempted to clean up his mess without gaging. It was probably one of the grossest things i've had to clean..or well maybe tied with the time I had to clean up puke at work..but yea. Other than that, he's a perfect puppy. He's starting to sleep almost all the way through the night too, which is good:)

I cant believe that I come home in 4 days!!! I am so excited!!! I have so much that I need to get done before I get home though..ahhh!! haha. I have so much to pack, and im scared im going to forget something. Pregnancy is making me forget everything!! haha Im seriously losing it! haha. Tonight I sat waiting for my visiting teachers, and was getting mad cause they were so late, and then realized that it was Monday, not Tuesday..haha. Anyhow, I cant wait to see my family and friends!!! But the closer it gets, I have to admit that im getting a bit sad..haha. Im leaving Norm on our first Valentines Day together. Im going to be in Nova Scotia for 10 days, which will be the longest i've gone without seeing Norm, since I met him, 9 months ago..haha. Its crazy when I think how much has changed in a year!! I had to teach a lesson in Young Womens a few weeks ago now on preparing for eternal marriage. And part of it was about how they should prepare now to meet their eternal companion, cause you never know when you might meet then. I so related to that!! Its so weird to think that when I moved here in May, I had a boyfriend back east, and a plan of how my life was going to be. I had moved here to save up money to serve a mission, 6 months after a certain boy left, and then hopefully live happliy ever after. 3 weeks later, that plan was totally turned upside down. Never had I ever thought that less than a year later i'd be married and pregnant!! But I couldnt be happier:)

Anyhow, enough rambling!! I still havent found my camera cord!!:( Im going to use my moms when I get home, so i'll have a bunch of pics to upload soon!! But for now, I took a pic of my puppy on my webcam, its not great quality, but you can see a bit what he looks like:) He's way

cuter when he's awake..haha. But I wasnt about to wake him up..lol

Sad News...

Well I got all excited for NOTHING!!!!:( The camera cord that Norm found...WASNT MINE!!! I still love him lots!! haha But really wish I had my camera cord right now! Blog entries are just so boring without pics!! haha Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing pics. I'll continue the search!

New Puppy!!!

We got a new puppy on Thursday!! He is so cute!!!
He's 1/4 lab, and 3/4 boxer. Norm named him Rocky, since he's a boxer..haha. Its cute, when he plays, he actually looks like he's boxing..haha. He's so busy!! Its almost more work than having a new baby. I guess it will get us ready!! haha. Norm is so cute and good with him. He's been getting up every 3 hours at night to take him out. I love my husband!!

Speaking of my husband. Since i've been pregnant, he's been making sure I eat enough, and that im eating healthy. And he's also been cooking for me a lot!! Which is awesome! So yesterday, he was making me lunch, and I took out a bag of baby carrots and started eating them. The next thing I knew, he freaked at me..haha and was like "baby, what are you doing?!! You need to be eating healthy!! Im making you lunch, stop eating that crap!" and he took the bag away from me. I was just like "what the heck?!" haha Well it turns out that he thought I was eating cheezies!!! hahaha. Its not as funny now that im re-telling it. But at that time, I though it was so funny, and couldnt stop laughing..haha.

Norms in Calgary today for the Super Bowl, and he found my camera cord at his parents place!!! YAY!!!!! So as soon as he gets home, i'll post my belly pic, and some pics of our new baby.

The update...

Karen reminded me that I havent written for a while...so I figure I should update!

So Christmas was good. It was my first Christmas away from home, but it was great. Norms family was so good at doing everything to make it the best for me!! Christmas eve we stayed at Norms brothers new house, and we got to relax in their jacuzzi tub, it was very nice:)

New years was a lot of fun as well. Sadly I didnt take any pictures of the night though:( We got together with 2 other married couples, and crashed the ysa dance..haha. It wasnt nearly as akward as I thought it would be. Then again there are so many ysa here, no one would have noticed..haha. Then after the dance, we went to Denny's for breakfast at like 2am. It was great:) And I got my first new years kiss! haha I never had a boyfriend over New Years. Anyhow, on New Years Eve we got a call from Norms brother Aaron, who was headed to BC for the night. On his way there, with his girlfriend and some friends, they hit a MOOSE!!! They are so lucky to be alright!! Here's some pics of his car, which didnt make out as well as they did.

So im starting to get a cute baby belly now..haha. I had to buy maternity pants the other week. I have a few pics, but cant find my camera cord to pic them on my computer. I'll post them when I find it though!! I had an ultasound 2 weeks ago. It was so weird to see this little thing inside me!! The little guy or girl wouldnt turn around for us to see its face. So the girl pushed really hard on my stomach with the ultrasound thing, and the baby still wouldnt move! haha. All it did was kick back! It was so cute. It reminded me of a frog kicking. haha. We have our next ultrasound on Valentines Day:) Im pretty excited for it!! Its nice cause out here, they'll tell you what you're having. So im hoping that this time our baby will cooperate!! haha. I cant wait to find out!!!!

Im super excited for Valentines Day this year, aside from our ultrasound, and it being my first Valentines Day with my Husband, im also flying home that night!!!! I leave Calgary at 11:20 pm, and fly overnight, im gonna be exhusted by the time I get there, but it'll be worth it. Im staying for 10 days, and im so excited!! Im gonna miss my husband like crazy!! But there was a good seat sale, and I have the week off from school, so I just couldnt pass it up!! I figure it will be the last chance I get to go home without a baby. Which is so weird to think about!!! Im also looking forward to warmer weather!! You wouldnt believe how cold it is here!!! The last few days it's been -40ish, with a windchill of -50!!! Its too cold for me!!!

Anyhow, thats all I have to write about right now. I'll try to be a more faithful blogger from now on!!!
