Here's a few pics of Christmas stuff Becca and I have been making together!
First is some baking
Every year at Christmas my grandpa Bill would make nuts and bolts. If you were lucky as a kid, you would be there when he was making them. He would let you stir them every 15 mins. It was always a great time! Making them this year reminded me of my Grandfather, and the way his house smelt at Christmas.
The next are called Chocolate Cherry Kris Kringles, and they were super yummy!
They took a while to make, but they were worth it.
These last one are called Choco-Mint Snaps. I have to say these are my new favourite! Its a nice mix of mint and chocolate. The recipe said to roll them in sugar, but I used crushed candy cane instead.
I have so much more baking to do before Christmas, but it will have to wait, as I have run out of freezer space.
Now onto the crafts. Lately Becca wants to help me when im doing anything, so when I saw this ornament idea I just had to try it with her! She loved getting messy and helping mom! When it came time to glue the eye and nose on, she wanted to put them all over the reindeer and counted how many it had, so cute! Its a fun craft that we can do every year and have a whole reindeer family on the tree. And it might be easier to get a good print next year to lol.
The next one is one I made as a kid, we're making them for family this year with their initial's.
Im still debating if I should paint on a face, what do you think??
The next ones smell so good!! They're applesauce cinnamon. I had to hang them up high on the tree cause Becca keeps saying "cookie" and trying to eat them lol
And lastly..I've been wanting to try to make tissue paper pom poms for a while, but havent had an excuse. I decided that my dining room needed a touch of Christmas, so whats better than a candy cane pom pom??
Merry Christmas!:)
