Its a ....

Sorry, that was mean, I dont know lol I ended up cancelling my ultrasound appointment. Norm had to work today, since he took Monday off to take care of me. And when I thought about it, I couldnt justify spending $100 just to find out what I'm having. Im hoping that i'll have another ultrasound before the baby is born, and if not, it will be a surprise.
We went to Norms work Christmas party last weekend though, and he works with a bunch of guys from the Philippines. One of the guys said, oh we can tell what she's having just by looking at her. So they went around the table looked at me for a second and each one said girl. They all said they've never been wrong so...ha ha. Norm asked how they do it, and they said you look at the girls face, thats it. If she looks relaxed, clear skin, happy, then she's having a girl. With a boy she'd look tired, moody and have acne. So we'll have to see if they were right.
I cant believe its 2 weeks till Christmas! Im so excited!! I'll have to take some pics of all the Christmas stuff I've been doing this year! This year is the most i've been prepared. All my cards are sent out, presents wrapped, shopping done. It feels great!:) Hope you're all enjoying the holiday season as much as me:)

Noodle Nose.

I want to start by stating how much I love my husband!! Sunday night, I got the worst flu of my life! I seriously thought I was gonna die. I have never barfed so much in my life, and let me tell you, when you're 20 weeks pregnant that kills your stomach! My husband was amazing though! He stepped right up and took over everything. He took Becca out to the living room where they had a daddy daughter sleepover by the Christmas Tree. He took Monday off work to take care of me and Becca, and he did a great job!! Becca has always been a daddys girl. She loves her dada! So after spending 3 days straight with him, she was upset when she woke up yesterday and he wasnt here. She just kept walking around asking, where dada?? where dada? Wait...before I go into what happened next...here's a cute daddy daughter teeth brushing picture...

Ok, so my guess is what happened next was an attempt to spend more time with her daddy. So my amazing husband, cause he knew I wasnt yet 100%, but couldnt take another day off work, prepared all Beccas meals for the day. All I had to do was heat them up and stick her in her high chair. So for lunch he made her a nice chicken, tomato pasta. She loves pasta and was way excited. I was laying on the couch watching her eat, still in no mood to look at food for myself, but it did look yummy. Well then she started getting silly and saying "nose" and pretending to stick things up it. I just said do not put anything up your nose Becca! Eat your food. Most of the items she was joking about wouldnt have fit anyhow, so I wasnt too worried. Next thing I know, she is sticking a spiral noodle up her nose! 

I went running (as fast as a sickie can) but it was too late! I dont even know how she made it fit up there!  I went and got some tweezers and tried to remove it, but since we're talking a cooked noodle, it just kept breaking, leaving half a noodle still up there. Meanwhile, Becca thinks its hilarious, but im freaking out. She wouldnt stop sneezing, but nothing was coming out! lol I called the heathlink to see what they said I should do, they gave me a list of suggestions, but said if nothing worked that she needed to see a doctor within 4 hours, cause if it wasnt removed it could get infected. We live a 10 min walk from a clinic, but it was the last place I wanted to go. So I had to call Norm at work, I never call him there so he knew something was wrong lol. He just laughed and couldnt believe it. So, he came home and took Becca to get it removed. The doctor couldnt get it all, but said the rest was small enough that it would come out on its own. And we have to put polysporn drops up her nose to prevent infection. 

I just hope she doesnt try anything today to try to see her Dada! ha ha

Happy December 1st!

We have internet again at home! yay!!

I cant believe its December 1st already! Im getting so excited for Christmas!!

Almost 2 weeks ago, I went for my 18 week ultrasound. It was the longest ultrasound i've ever had! She checked EVERYTHING and the baby wasnt cooperating lol I had to get up a few times and jump around, which let me say isnt fun when you have a super full bladder! argh! They wait till the end to bring in your husband, and I said to the lady watch with our luck by the time my husband gets in here this baby wont show us what they are. She said oh, dont say that. Well guess what? ha ha As soon as Norm came in, she went to check and the baby had its legs crossed! Of course! Becca did the same thing, so I think its a girl ( i've thought that all along anyways) Becca came in with Norm at the end, and we told her it was a baby on the screen, and she said awww cute, hi! and the baby waved, it was so cute!

I cant stand not knowing for sure what im having, so i've booked in at UC Baby on the 11th to find out.

Here's a pic of me at 19 weeks..I feel like im still in the fat? or prego? stage lol But I dont wanna rush being huge, so thats ok.

I've been busy getting ready for Christmas around here, we've got our tree up, i've been making lots of ornaments for it, and doing lots of baking. I've also decided to keep Christmas easy this year, so im making a lot of my gifts.

Halloween 2010

I dont have internet yet at home, so thats why I havent blogged lately. I'll update on our new place and everything later, I just wanted to update with some halloween pics first.
Becca was a Bee again this year, her costume fit much better this year too. For one party she went as a kitty, cause it was easy. So when it came time to get ready for trick or treating she kept saying " no kitty ma ma" But once she had her costume on, she wouldnt stop spinning around. I couldnt even get a good pic since she wouldnt stay still lol
I made my own costume this year, I went as an oven with a bun in it, I tried to get Norm to dress up as a Chef, but he wouldnt, he wanted to be a football player instead, boring! lol

Its been a while...

So im back!!! I know its been a while. I guess I just found it hard to blog over the summer with working full time and then being a mom. Also, most of the people that read my blog, I was with them, so it seemed pointless. But now that i've moved back to the other side of the country, I guess I should keep everyone updated:)

So we're back in Calgary Alberta! and so far loving it!! Things seem to be falling into place for us, which is a nice change:) Norm has a new job that he's liking so far, and he'll be making enough so that I can stay home with my little princess. I plan on doing esthetics out of my home, and still doing my nursing covers for a bit of extra income on the side. Im looking into taking a photo course from the New York Institute of Photography, my mom is taking it right now, and it looks super fun!

Becca is getting so big and grown up! She such a little girl, and I love it! She's finally sleeping through the night which is great! She also tells me when she wants to go to bed now, its so cute.  Her favorite sayings are "uh-oh", "ah ah ahhh" (with the finger waving), "mmmmm", "ma ma", and if you ask her something she says "hmmmm" and puts her finger to her head like she's thinking. She's been pretty slow to talk, but so was her dad, and he talks just fine now, so im not worried. She totally understands what we're saying to her so thats good. She's excited to be a big sister and loves babies. She calls them "neh nehs". When I tell her there's a baby in mommys tummy she says " no ma ma, no" Maybe she thinks I ate one..lol

Im now 11 weeks pregnant, and so far not enjoying it! I'm about 20 times sicker this time than I was with Becca, this is gonna be my last kid for sure! lol Im hoping that in a few weeks the all day sickness will go away! Here's hoping!! I've lost 6lbs, but already have to wear a bella band cause my pants are too tight lol maybe im having twins lol

Anyhow, im off to take Becca out to play, so i'll leave you with some pics of her playing in the leaves the other day. Its totally fall out here, but I dont mind. The humidity was getting to me in NS.
