Pregnancy Update.

Well i'm 32 weeks now! Its crazy how fast the time has gone!
I know the next 8 weeks will go super slow though, especially since I'm ready to have this baby out already! lol Im just not one of those women who just loves being pregnant!
I always thought i'd be sad when I was pregnant for the last time..but nope:)lol

At my last appointment, my blood work came back, and turns out I have dangerously low iron. That explains why im so tired and have no energy all the time. I thought it was just cause im chasing around a toddler. So now im on iron pills, but they're making me sick, so I cant win! lol

So far this pregnancy i've gained 15lbs, I donno where I was at this point with Becca, but the doctor says thats good. I was able to gain the weight I had to over Christmas, and a bit more, so that kept my doctor happy lol

Also at my last appointment, when the doctor was checking the babys heart rate it suddenly dropped to 80 from 140, so she sent me right to the hospital. After over 3 hours there of being monitored they decided everything is fine and sent me home. It was no fun being in a room next to a lady in labour for 3 hours! I am not looking forward to giving birth again!! lol
I've also been having painful contractions off and on already. The doctor says they're just braxton hicks. I dont remember them hurting this bad with Becca.

So thats about it when it comes to baby.
Im slowly starting to get things ready for her.
I just need to get a dresser and I can start washing all the little clothes. I cant believe Becca was that small once!
Becca seems to be excited about her sister. When you ask her where the baby is, she points to my belly, and sometimes if you say give your baby sister kisses, she'll kiss my belly.

Here's a pic at 31 weeks, 4 days.
I kinda feel bad that I dont have as many prego pics this time.

The last month.

The last month has gone so fast, its been a total blur for me.
 Some highlights of it were...
Valentines Day!
Norm and I went out the Saturday night before to celebrate. His brother came over to watch Becca.
We went to Jack Astors for supper, and then to the cheap theatres to see Megamind. It was a cute movie.
Its funny we went out to get away from kids, and there were tons of kids at both places lol

Here's some pics of Becca colouring some valentines, it was so cute!
She concentrated so hard, and it kept her busy for a good hour!
"too much colouring, need to stretch"

Becca wore a cute valentines day outfit, but refused to look at the camera lol

For our valentines gifts to each other we got each other iphone 4's. We needed to upgrade anyhow, so it was perfect timing.

Another highlight of the month was that we were able to pay off both our credit cards!!
It was such a good feeling! I cant wait until we're totally debt free! Someday:)

We also no longer own a house!
I never thought that would be something that i'd be excited about, but its such a relief.
It was  no fun paying for a house we weren't living in.
Our renters bailed on us back in October, just giving us 9 days notice before they moved out!
I went out there to tell them that they were responsible for paying rent for the rest of their lease, or to find a sub-letter.
I guess they weren't happy with that, cause they trashed our place, moved out, and changed all their contact info.
So we tried to sell it for a few months,as a fixer upper and nothing.  We considered all our options and finally decided that the only thing to do was to foreclose on the house. It wasn't something I wanted to do, but it was our last choice. We couldn't afford to keep paying $1300 a month, plus rent and everything else.
The super amazing good news is that after contacting our mortgage company, they gave us the option to just sign over our house to them, and not go through with foreclosure!
So last week we signed our house over, and its done!
I have no reason what so ever to ever visit Vulcan again!! lol

Becca discovered her love of ripping up toilet paper this month lol

She kept smiling and helped me clean it up, so I cant complain lol

I think thats all the major things that have happened
So here's a few pics of my cutie today after church.
"Cheese!"
Just sitting here looking innocent.
Model Shot.

Superbowl Cake.

We went to the annual Superbowl party at our friends place this month, which was way fun!
Since I got my fancy cake decorating set for Christmas, Norm requested that I make a superbowl cake.
He totally designed it and supervised me making it! lol
It was my first time ever working with fondant, so it took me a while, but I was happy with how it turned out.  It was just a plain vanilla cake made from scratch, with a mint buttercream icing.  I look forward to making more cakes in the future! I love baking so much!
Here's some pics..

Trip to Ontario.

We went to Ontario for a week last month for my grandma's funeral. While it was for a sad occasion it was so nice to see all my family!!

The funeral was really nice, as far as funerals go.
I was pretty good at holding it together, until the end. My dad played amazing grace on the bagpipes, as they were wheeling my grandma out, and that did me, and pretty much everyone else in.
Here are some pics from after the funeral...

Here's all the grandkids with my Grampy.
 Our little family.
My whole family.

So we were staying in Hamilton and Norm found out that the Canadian Football Hall of fame was there, so of course we had to go!

We were lucky to have mom to babysit Becca, and we took advantage of it lol
We went into Toronto for a day, it was really nice to have a whole day just the 2 of us!
To start we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Waiting in line to go in, super excited! He was like a kid at Christmas lol
By the original Stanley Cup..the current one was out for repairs:(

Standing where the cup usually sits.

From the hockey hall of fame we walked down to the CN Tower.
It was quite the walk for a pregnant lady, but it was worth it lol
Norm had been up once before, but I hadnt, so it was fun.

 At the top.
It was pretty foggy, so we could only see downtown.
 Laying on the glass floor.
Looking down from the glass floor.
 My husband the moose.

The tower on at night.

We had so many family get togethers and ate so much yummy food!
There was always music involved too.
Becca decided she wanted to be part of the band, and loved it!

Sunday morning I woke up feeling way sick! I tried to get up and have breakfast, but it wasnt happening, so I went back to bed. Thankfully my mom took care of Becca so I could rest.
Around lunch time she came in and told me that all the girls were going to my grampys place for a girls afternoon. I told her to go without me, and let me sleep, but an hour later she came back in and asked if I wanted to shower and come. I figured maybe something was up at that point. So I pulled myself together and went. My aunts threw me a surprise baby shower!! How sweet is that?! I just wish I was feeling better so I could have enjoyed it more, they had so much good food and an amazing cake, and all I had was ginger ale lol

 Doesn't it look yummy??
At least Becca got to enjoy it! lol

We ended up flying out a day early, cause a big storm was coming.
Becca was amazing on both flights! I was so proud of her!
I guess she's used to it after flying 11 times now lol
I even had strangers come up to me afterwards to tell me how good she was.
It was a nice change from having the screaming kid on the flight:)

My Grandma

My grandma Norma Pauline Ehler passed away on January 21s t:(
It was such an unexpected thing, she never really had any health concerns, and seemed to be in great health. She just had a heart attack and never recovered from it.
It was such a sudden thing that it was hard to grasp it. I was in shock for a while, and even seeing her in her casket at the funeral home, it still didn't seem real.
I think the hardest part will be going to my grandparents summer home this summer, and her not being there. I've gone down there for a few weeks each summer, except for maybe 3 since I was 2 years old.

My grandma was one of the most loving people! She was always so giving and would do anything for anyone. She was very spiritual and more than ready to meet her heavenly father.

Some things I'll never forget about her or favourite memories of her are...

~ She liked to serve potatoes with every meal lol I remember one time we were making spaghetti for supper and she asked should I make some potatoes?

~ I always looked forward to receiving her Christmas package. She would always send lots of chocolates and goodies in with the wrapped presents. As kids we would always fight about who got to open it. This year we received our own Nelson parcel from her, and I remember saying "jackpot! its from Grandma lol"

~ Its rumoured that my grandparents summer place is haunted. There's lots of stories of people seeing and hearing stuff going on there. If you ever asked my grandma about it, she would say "nothings gonna hurt you here dear" It always creeped me out! ha ha She never said "nothings here" just nothings gonna hurt you here lol

~ When I was about 6, I was staying at my grandparents place without my parents, and got the chicken pox. You know how when you're sick you want your mom to take care of you. Well she was the next best thing, and I still remember her telling me not to scratch!

~She loved playing scrabble on the computer. One year she got everyone the computer scrabble game, and we joked that it was so she could play it anywhere she went lol

~I think the biggest memory or thing I'll remember about my grandma was how much she loved me. My mom married her son when I was 2. Even though I wasn't her biological granddaughter, she stepped right  up and filled the roll as my grandma. She never ever treated me any different that any of her other grandchildren.

She was also a great great-grandma to Becca. Im glad that I was able to bring Becca down to their summer place the last 2 summers. And that I was able to spend some time with her, talking as adults. I also glad that I was able to tell her that I was expecting again. The last time I talked to her on the phone was to tell her I was pregnant, and I loved hearing her excitement about it.

Im gonna miss her a lot:(

Here's her obituary.
